A Clinical Study of Febrile Convulsion and factors Related to Recurrence

Abstract
|
|
|
To study the relationship of clinical pictures and factors related to the risk of recurrence of febrile convulsion, 93 patients with febrile convulsion were evaluated.
@ES Significantly related factors obtained are as follows:
@EN 1) Age of first attack: The first episode under the 1 year was 28.4% in initial cases and 57.7% in recurrent cases. 2) Type of convulsion: the focal type was 3.0% in initial cases and 19.2% in recurrent cases, 3) Duration of convulsion: The
duration
was over 15 minutes in 8.9% of initial cases, whereas 23.1% in recurrent cases. 4) EEG findings: the abnormal findings were 11.5% in recurrent cases compare to 2.0% in initial cases. 5) Frequency of convulsion in one day: The frequency over 3
episodes
was 4.5% in initial cases and 11.5% in recurrent cases.
